AlexAlexandra Morgan Carrasco is an American professional soccer player. She plays as an attacker and captain for San Diego Wave FC of the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) which is the top division of women's professional soccer in the United States, and the United States women's national soccer team.She co-captained the United States women's national soccer team along with Carli Lloyd and Megan Rapinoe between 2018 until 2020. [8][98][9] Morgan was selected number one in the Western New York Flash's 2011 WPS Draft shortly after she graduated early from University of California, Berkeley. Morgan played for the California Golden Bears. Morgan made her professional debut there , and was a key player in the team's win of the league championship. Morgan aged 22 at the time was the youngest player in the national team at the 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup, where the team finished as runners-up. In the 123rd minute of the semi-final clash against Canada during the 2012 London Olympics she scored the match-winning goals. She finished 2012 with 21 and 28 goals. assists, joining Mia Hamm as the only American woman who scored 20 goals and score 20 assists during the same year, making her the sixth the youngest U.S. player to score 20 goals in a single season.
