Robyn Rihanna, better popularly known as Rihanna in Barbados is a Barbadian musician and singer who has given us popular songs such as Pon de Replay Umbrella SOS and Take a Bow. An extremely successful performer in the prime of her youthful years, she's already sold over 41 million albums and 150 million songs worldwide becoming one of the top-selling performers of all time. Born in Barbados, she was able the joy of reggae, and even began singing when she was a young child. Because of the chaos in her home and the arguments that her parents had with each other, she began to pursue music. Then she realized that she was going to become a singer. They formed a group as a teenager and had the opportunity to take part in an audition for music producer Evan Rodgers who was highly impressed with the talent of the young girl. He suggested that she make the move into New York in order to make a career of it as a performer, something she happily accepted. Rihanna became an instant hit when her debut album hit the shelves. Her peppy foot-tapping songs quickly became the top choice of young people, causing Rihanna to make films too. Talented and young, Rihanna is widely regarded as a teenage idol and fashion icon. Rihanna put her celebrity to good use by being actively involved in several charity causes.
